On deck, the deep centre cockpit is safe and roomy with a generous spray hood offering shelter from the elements and a bimini providing protection from the sun. The cockpit also houses a large table for al fresco dining after a days cruising. As we sail Scotland’s West Coast and islands, you can follow our progress on the electronic chart plotter conveniently situated by the bridge deck.

There are many other good vantage points and seating areas around the decks where you can relax during your sailing holiday and simply enjoy the magnificent Scottish scenery or experience the excitement of spotting a whale or porpoise, which are often seen in our sailing grounds.

Moonshadow’s cutter rig (which means she has two foresails) is easily handled and ensures comfortable, yet exhilarating sailing. Electric winches ensure effortless setting and trimming of sails, while anchoring is made easy with a powerful capstan.

Our tender, with its 25hp outboard, is swift and secure for excursions ashore. Access is via the bathing platform on Moonshadow’s stern, which also houses the hot shower for guests who have enjoyed a swim in the clear, sparkling Scottish waters!
